Summer is calling us to spend time out of the doors.
On a warm July evening our Sangha gathered at a magical spot in the forest, surrounded by trees, plants, running creeks, cascades, a mirroring pond and all those little creatures creeping, flying, and buzzing around.
After some time of sitting in a circle, “bathing” in the sound of running water, we slowly moved into the forest to practice what we call “forest meditation”. This practice is wonderful opportunity to get in touch with the miracles of life, a great source of physical and mental well-being that, in the course of our daily lives, unfortunately often remains untapped. Yes, we are very busy, and yes, there are millions of things that need to be taken care of, and there is work, household, family management.. Yet the forest is right there, with its peaceful grace and magnificent beauty, with is healing capacity, naturally and simply witnessing the cycles of life and death, the changing seasons of the year, so calm and solid, yet in a constant flux of change.. It is just there, waiting to be discovered, embraced, loved and enjoyed.
Having spent some time in mindful togetherness with our human, animal, plant and mineral friends, we emerged back to our daily reality refreshed by this magical moment.
